The Netherlands to assume NATO mission over Polish airspace starting in September
Amsterdam, July 7 (Hibya) – Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans announced that his country will contribute to NATO's air security mission over Polish airspace beginning in September.
In his statement, Brekelmans emphasized that security in Eastern Europe is also of great importance for the Netherlands' national security. Dutch F-35 fighter jets are expected to patrol NATO’s eastern flank to enhance deterrence against Russia and protect logistical routes to Ukraine.
