Trial begins in Germany over Christmas market attack
Berlin, November 10 (Hibya) – The trial of 51-year-old Taleb al-Abdulmohsen began in the eastern German city of Magdeburg. He is accused of deliberately driving his car into a Christmas market last December, killing six people and injuring hundreds.
According to The Guardian, the trial has begun in Magdeburg, eastern Germany, for 51-year-old Taleb al-Abdulmohsen, who is accused of intentionally ramming his vehicle into a Christmas market in December last year, causing the deaths of six people and injuring hundreds.
Abdulmohsen, a Saudi national and psychiatrist, appeared in court on Monday under tight security measures. It was reported that he would be kept inside a bulletproof glass enclosure throughout the proceedings.
