Trump: The Strait of Hormuz will be completely free
Paris, 16 June (Hibya) - United States President Donald Trump spoke about the negotiation process with Iran, nuclear weapons restrictions, and the status of the Strait of Hormuz.
Answering journalists’ questions, US President Donald Trump referred to the timeline of diplomatic contacts and the role of both countries in the process.
Expressing optimism about the negotiations, Trump said: “We believe the talks will proceed on time within 60 days. Both of us will be involved. Iran wants to return to work. Our relations are normalizing and we expect to move forward quickly.”
Regarding the nuclear agreement, Trump stated: “Iran will never have nuclear weapons, and it will be impossible for them to acquire or develop them. This is what I wanted 99.99% because we cannot allow it. In addition, the Strait of Hormuz will be completely and permanently free.”
He praised the success of the military strategy and US naval forces.
Trump also expressed hope that the United Kingdom would join the Abraham Accords.
