Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna commented on international law ahead of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. Tsahkna said more countries should stand with Ukraine and with the international order that, according to him, Russia is trying to destroy.

Tsahkna said: "An aggressor should not be allowed to hide behind its own veto power; the UN General Assembly must act, and more countries should stand with Ukraine and with the international order that Russia is trying to destroy."

Tsahkna said international law is not an abstract concept for Estonia, but part of the country's security. He stated that he emphasized this issue in an article he wrote ahead of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
