Ukrainian drones hit a power plant in Moscow
Moscow, 23 November (Hibya) – The Governor of the Moscow Region, Vorobyov, announced on 23 November that the fire at the Shatura State District Power Plant was caused by an attack carried out with unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).
Vorobyov wrote on his Telegram channel: “This morning, a drone attack targeted the Shaturskaya State District Power Plant. Some drones were destroyed by air defense forces, and several others fell onto the plant’s grounds.”
He noted that the fire had been brought under control and that emergency teams continued their work, adding: “The city’s power grid is intact; they quickly switched to backup lines. To ensure heating supply until the situation is fully stabilized, we have deployed mobile modular boiler stations to the area.”
Vorobyov stated that the situation was under control and that there was no threat to residents of the region.
