Umerov: We continue working for peace for Ukraine
Washington, 1 December (Hibya) – Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, said that he and the negotiation team were on their way to Europe and that they are continuing to work for peace for Ukraine.
Secretary Umerov stated that he had a phone call with President Zelensky following the Ukrainian delegation’s work in Florida.
He noted that during two extremely productive days in the United States, they held many hours of meetings and negotiations. “We managed to achieve significant progress, but some issues still require further development,” Umerov said.
Expressing gratitude to the American side for their constructive and partnership-based approach, Umerov said they agreed to maintain constant and close contact throughout the process.
Umerov announced that they were heading to Europe with the negotiation team and emphasized that they continue to work with the aim of achieving peace for Ukraine.
