UN: Advancing women’s rights is essential
New York, June 7 (Hibya) – The United Nations (UN) has described the advancement of women’s rights as “essential for peace and security.”
In a statement, the UN noted that a new exhibition in New York, seen through the lens of those who have experienced conflict, reframes perspectives on women, including their roles as architects of peace and justice, stating: “Advancing women’s rights is essential for peace and security.”
