In his statement on the humanitarian situation in South Sudan’s Jonglei region, Fletcher said, “People displaced by violence in Jonglei are facing increasing hunger.”
Stating that $12 million had been allocated from the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF), Fletcher said, “With these funds, humanitarian teams will deliver food, healthcare services, and protection from violence to 200 thousand people at the highest risk.”
