UNRWA continues its support for Gaza
New York, January 28 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) issued a statement on the support activities carried out for people living in Gaza.
In its statement, UNRWA reported that amid severely restricted access to safe water in Gaza, hygiene continues to be maintained in UNRWA shelters and other areas through community-based solid waste management.
The statement noted that cleaning supplies and water purification tablets were distributed, adding: “In early January, around 250,000 displaced people were reached through emergency water services, including water supply via desalination plants, wells, and water tankers.”
