UNRWA: Thousands in Gaza struggle with trauma and permanent injuries
New York, October 27 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) reported that after more than two years of ongoing war in Gaza, thousands of people are struggling with trauma and permanent injuries.
UNRWA stated that thousands of people in Gaza are suffering from trauma and life-changing injuries after more than two years of continued conflict in the region.
In a statement, the agency emphasized that despite all challenges, it continues to support people in the area, saying:
“After more than two years of war, thousands in Gaza are facing trauma and injuries that have changed their lives. Despite the challenges, UNRWA helps people recover, regain confidence, and rebuild their strength.”
The agency reported that between October 6 and 12, 2,264 physical therapy and rehabilitation sessions were conducted through its health centers and medical points.
