US stock markets close the day higher
Istanbul, October 16 (Hibya) – US stock markets recorded gains overall, according to closing data for October 15. The Dow Jones, S&P 500, Nasdaq Composite and Russell 2000 indices ended the day in positive territory, while the Nasdaq 100 index declined.

The Dow Jones index rose by 556.21 points, or 1.08 percent, to reach 52,177.69 points. The S&P 500 index gained 25.12 points to reach 7,744.06 points, while the Nasdaq Composite index increased by 20.158 points to 26,713.026 points.
The Nasdaq 100 index fell by 15.221 points to 29,935.595 points, losing 0.05 percent of its value. Meanwhile, the Russell 2000 index rose by 37.738 points, or 1.38 percent, to close the day at 2,767.269 points.
