Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

The United States vetoed the UN Security Council vote on whether to call for a ceasefire in Gaza. The other 14 member states supported the resolution drafted in August after the UN declared a famine in Gaza.

The resolution called for an immediate, unconditional, and permanent ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. The warring parties were required to fully respect the ceasefire. Hamas was to release its hostages immediately and unconditionally.

The United States has repeatedly rejected such resolutions, most recently vetoing one in June. Pakistan’s UN Ambassador Asim Ahmed said this was a “dark moment in the history of the Security Council.”
