Baku, February 10 (Hibya) - US Vice President James David Vance was welcomed with an official ceremony by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku on February 10, 2026, and the two leaders held talks.
US Vice President JD Vance was welcomed with an official ceremony in Baku, Azerbaijan’s capital, on February 10, 2026. The ceremony took place in a square decorated with the flags of both countries, accompanied by an honor guard.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev greeted Vance, and the commander of the honor guard reported to the US Vice President. During the ceremony, the national anthems of both the US and Azerbaijan were played. Afterwards, the members of both countries' delegations were introduced to each other, and the honor guard performed a parade accompanied by a military march.
After the ceremony, President Aliyev held a limited-format meeting with JD Vance, followed by an expanded discussion. The talks focused on cooperation between the two countries and regional issues.
