Ushakov: We find Trump’s ceasefire initiative acceptable
Moscow, May 9 (Hibya) - Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov stated that Russia considers acceptable the initiative proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding a temporary ceasefire covering May 9-11 and a 1,000-for-1,000 prisoner exchange.
Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov shared Russia’s position regarding the content of the proposal and its implementation timetable.
Stating that the proposal was acceptable, Ushakov said, “We find Donald Trump’s initiative regarding a Russia-Ukraine ceasefire on May 9-11 acceptable for the purpose of conducting a 1,000-for-1,000 prisoner exchange.”
Regarding the timing of the initiative, Ushakov commented, “Such an initiative on the eve of Victory Day is welcomed.”
