Von der Leyen: Europe stands with Ukraine
Brussels, August 24 (Hibya) - European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that €6.1 billion in support for air and missile defense systems, missiles, ammunition and radars was approved on Ukraine’s Independence Day.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen issued a statement on the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence Day.
Von der Leyen said Europe continues to support Ukraine, announcing that €6.1 billion in assistance was approved today for air and missile defense systems, missiles, ammunition and radars that Ukraine urgently needs.
Emphasizing that Europe will stand with Ukraine today, tomorrow and for as long as necessary, von der Leyen congratulated Ukraine on its Independence Day.
