European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that sanctions against Russia will continue and that support for Ukraine will be maintained.

Von der Leyen said they will continue to weaken Russia’s economy through sanctions.

Von der Leyen said Europe will continue to support Ukraine, adding that this support will include European air defense systems and PAC-3 Patriot systems.

Stating that they will work more closely with NATO than ever before, von der Leyen emphasized that deterrence against threats to Europe’s freedom and security will be strengthened.

Von der Leyen said, “We will deter anyone who attacks our freedom and security.”
