Zakharova: Serbia is under NATO pressure because of its relations with Russia
Moscow, June 18 (Hibya) - Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova claimed that Serbia is facing pressure from NATO due to its friendly relations with Russia.
Zakharova argued that Serbia is being subjected to pressure by NATO because it maintains friendly relations with Russia.
In her statement, Zakharova said that a large portion of the Serbian population views NATO negatively, noting that citizens remember the events that took place during NATO’s bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999.
The Russian spokeswoman also claimed that more than 80 percent of Serbian citizens view NATO as hostile, adding that one reason for this is the enduring memory of the 1999 NATO operation.
