Zelensky: Drone entered about 10 kilometers into Romanian territory
Kyiv, September 13 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Romania scrambled fighter jets today due to the presence of a Russian drone in its airspace.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Romania scrambled fighter jets today because of the presence of a Russian drone in its airspace. According to him, based on current data, the drone entered about 10 kilometers into Romanian territory and operated in NATO airspace for about 50 minutes.
Zelensky also noted that Poland intervened militarily today against the threat of Russian attack drones:
“In fact, Russian drones operated throughout the day in various regions of Ukraine, including the northern areas along the border with Belarus. According to preliminary information, Belarusian airspace was also used to enter Ukrainian airspace in the Volyn direction.
Their routes are always calculated. This cannot be a coincidence, a mistake, or the initiative of lower-level commanders. This is clearly Russia’s attempt to expand the war, and this is exactly how they act. At first small steps, in the end big losses.”
