Zelensky: It is encouraging to see the revival of the diplomatic process and its constructive progress
Geneva, November 23 (Hibya) — The Ukrainian delegation appointed by President Volodymyr Zelensky is holding meetings in Switzerland with Canada, the United States (US), and European partners to take steps toward ending the war and achieving lasting peace.
Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, stated that the delegation appointed by Zelensky has begun its work in Geneva. The first meeting was held with the national security advisors to the leaders of the United Kingdom, France, and Germany — Jonathan Powell, Emmanuel Bonne, and Günther Sauter. The next meeting is planned with the US delegation. The delegations will continue a series of meetings in various formats throughout the day.
Zelensky said that the revitalization of the diplomatic process and the constructive atmosphere of the talks are encouraging. He emphasized that Ukrainian and American teams, as well as European partners, remain in close contact. Zelensky noted that if all participants act constructively, a lasting and just peace is achievable. He stressed the need to stop the bloodshed and prevent the war from reigniting.
