Zelensky meets King Abdullah II of Jordan
Kyiv, March 29 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with King Abdullah II of Jordan, stating that they discussed potential cooperation in the security sector as well as the overall situation in the Middle East and the Gulf region.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement regarding diplomatic contacts with Jordan and the sharing of experience in air defense systems.
Emphasizing cooperation capacity in defense, Zelensky said: "Ukraine is open to joint efforts in defending against drone and missile attacks. From our own experience, we know that without an integrated system, it is impossible to comprehensively protect people and critical infrastructure."
Highlighting Ukraine’s defense experience, President Zelensky stated: "In the fifth year of Russia’s full-scale war, we have had to defend ourselves against continuous Russian attacks, including those carried out using Iranian drones."
Noting that sharing expertise should strengthen both sides, Zelensky said: "I thank His Majesty for his openness to dialogue and engagement."
