President Zelensky said he thanked Prime Minister Starmer and the British people for their steadfast support for Ukraine in its struggle against Russian aggression.

Zelensky noted that he discussed with Starmer ways to strengthen defense cooperation and increase pressure on Russia, saying: “I presented the UK-made Ukrainian OCTOPUS interceptor drone, which will be produced in the UK for further testing in Ukraine. The agreement provides for the production of the first batch.”

Zelensky emphasized that strengthening the sanctions policy is necessary to push Russia toward real negotiations.

He highlighted the importance of recent joint sanctions packages and added: “In addition, before the Coalition of the Willing meeting, we coordinated our positions; security guarantees for Ukraine, strengthening air defense, long-range capabilities, and energy resilience are key topics of the meeting.”
