Zelensky: Ukraine has never been an obstacle to peace
Kyiv, January 15 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine has not been the party obstructing the peace process, emphasizing that due to Russian attacks, the population has been facing prolonged power outages.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in a statement regarding the ongoing war and peace efforts, called on the international community to draw attention to Russia’s attacks on civilian infrastructure.
Referring to Ukraine’s stance on peace, Zelensky said: “Ukraine has never been and will never be an obstacle to peace.”
Addressing Russia’s strategy of targeting the energy system and its humanitarian consequences, Zelensky stated: “When Ukrainians are left without electricity for 20–30 hours because of Russia, and when Russian attacks target our energy system and our people, it is Russia that must be put under pressure.”
