President Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine has never been inclined toward war.

He stated that Ukraine is ready for an unconditional ceasefire, is looking for peace opportunities, and has repeatedly proposed to the world ways to stop air, land, and sea attacks. “But it is Russia that constantly obstructs this process, manipulates it, prolongs negotiations, terrorizes our people with airstrikes, and intensifies attacks on the front line. The war continues only because Moscow does not want it to end,” said Zelensky.

Zelensky noted that Russia carries out hundreds of attacks on Ukraine’s critical and civilian infrastructure almost every day, saying:

“Just this week, Russia used over 3,270 attack drones, 1,370 guided air bombs, and about 50 missiles of various types against Ukraine. We are constantly strengthening our defense and working with our partners to improve air defense: Putin cannot be stopped with words – pressure is needed.”
