Zelensky: We have not abandoned the ceasefire proposal
Kyiv, May 7 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reiterated that their proposal for a ceasefire of at least 30 days remains valid and has not been withdrawn.
Zelensky said that air raid sirens sounded across almost the entire country throughout the day.
He reported that Russia launched a new missile and drone attack overnight: “In Kyiv and other cities, the noise was very loud. Unfortunately, there are injured and dead. I offer my condolences to all affected families. Search and rescue operations continue throughout the day in Kharkiv, Sumy, and the capital.”
Zelensky emphasized once again that the 30-day ceasefire proposal is still on the table:
“This offer provides a real opportunity for diplomacy. But the world can clearly see that the side not responding is Russia. The only response has been new attacks. This clearly reveals who the true source of the war is.”
