Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine and Italy had established joint defense industry production facilities in both countries, highlighting the importance of technological and military cooperation between them.

Sharing his interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera on social media, Zelenskyy said he had a very good relationship with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and that Ukrainians were grateful for the support of the Italian people.

Emphasizing that Ukraine expresses its gratitude not only through words but also by sharing its experience on the ground, Zelenskyy said:
"They receive feedback from us on which Italian- and European-made weapons work and which do not, and on what we have improved technologically. We share all of this with Italian manufacturers. We have established joint production facilities in Italy and Ukraine; these are Ukrainian-Italian companies. We have a very good relationship with Leonardo. We are grateful to them, and they also gain a great deal from us. I am very happy that we support each other in this way and that the level of technological expertise among Italians is increasing. Italians work in the businesses and factories opened in Italy. I think this is also very important. It means not only employment but also support for Ukraine and Italy."
