12 killed in Russia’s attacks on Ukraine
Kyiv, September 1 (Hibya) - Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Russia carried out large-scale attacks across the country on the night of September 1 using missiles and a large number of drones. At least 12 people were reported killed and dozens injured in the attacks.
In the capital Kyiv, 7 people were killed after a railway depot was targeted, while 4 people were killed and 13 injured in Boryspil in the Kyiv region. A five-story building in Boryspil was reported damaged and 50 people were evacuated.
Odesa and its surrounding areas were also reportedly targeted with drones and guided bombs, leaving thousands of families without electricity. The international border crossing with Romania and export infrastructure were also reported to have been damaged in the attacks.
Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for increased support with air defense systems and military assistance.
