Zelensky stated that 44 days had passed since Ukraine agreed to a full ceasefire and end to hostilities, saying, “This was a proposal from the United States. And for 44 days, Russia has continued to kill our people, avoiding real pressure and accountability for its actions.”

He stressed how important it is for the world to see and understand the reality:

“Unfortunately, there is significant destruction. Rescue operations are ongoing, and the rubble of residential buildings is being cleared. So far, more than 80 people have been injured across Ukraine. Everyone is receiving the necessary aid. Sadly, 9 people died in Kyiv. My condolences to their families and loved ones.”

The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: “This is exactly what Russia wants: more killing, more destruction, more fear. Only pressure and strength can stop this war. Weakness and concessions to terrorists will only embolden their evil.”
