Lahbib: Even wars have rules, humanitarian law must be respected
Brussels, April 24 (Hibya) – EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, stated that even wars have rules and humanitarian law must be respected.
Commissioner Lahbib made a statement on the occasion of the International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace.
She emphasized that the rule of law, not the rule of force, must prevail, stating: “From Ukraine to Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, the Democratic Republic of the Congo: war is not the answer. Even wars have rules. Humanitarian law must be respected.”
