Albares: We Are Experiencing Our Best Relations with Morocco in a Historic Period
Madrid, February 9 (Hibya) – Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares met with his Moroccan counterpart Nasser Bourita in Madrid, emphasizing that relations between the two countries are strong and strategic.
Spanish Foreign Minister Albares stated that bilateral relations between Morocco and Spain are “among the strongest in the world,” adding, “We are experiencing the best period in the history of our friendship and cooperation.”
Albares noted that trade between the two countries reached €21 billion in 2025, that cooperation on migration and policing contributes to citizens’ security, and that they have the densest public and Instituto Cervantes network worldwide.
He also emphasized their support for the implementation of the RAN Spain–Morocco agreements signed last December and their joint efforts to co-host the 2030 World Cup.
