Canadian Foreign Minister Anand said middle powers play an important role in shaping the international order.

In a social media post, Anand said countries could increase their international influence and find solutions to problems that transcend national borders by acting together in areas where their interests overlap.

Speaking at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum in New Delhi, Anand outlined Canada’s diplomatic approach in a changing world.

Noting that international cooperation is coming under increasing pressure, Anand stressed the importance of trust built over time among countries and the capacity to bring countries together on common ground.
