Anand said Canada and Kuwait share more than 60 years of diplomatic relations shaped by common interests and sustained engagement, adding that the talks provided an opportunity to discuss how the bilateral relationship could be further developed.
Anand said the talks focused on areas where stronger security cooperation, increasing Canada's presence and engagement in the Middle East, and expanding trade and investment could serve shared interests. She emphasized Canada's solidarity with all Gulf countries that have been subjected to retaliatory attacks by Iran.
