Azerbaijan and China Sign Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement
Beijing, April 23 (Hibya) – On April 23, as part of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s official visit to China, a document signing ceremony was held between Azerbaijan and China in Beijing.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the ceremony. The two leaders first signed the “Joint Statement on the Establishment of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People's Republic of China.”
Foreign Ministers Jeyhun Bayramov and Wang Yi signed the following documents:
“Agreement on Mutual Visa Exemption for Holders of Ordinary Passports” and “Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening Cooperation in Humanitarian Mine Action.”
Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev and Wang Yi also signed the “Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters.”
Additionally, Mustafayev and Chen Xiaodong, head of the China International Development Cooperation Agency, signed the “Agreement on Technical and Economic Cooperation.”
The signed documents are expected to significantly deepen cooperation between the two countries in political, economic, and humanitarian fields and establish a concrete foundation for strategic partnership.
