Azerbaijan suspends cooperation with the European Parliament
The National Assembly of Azerbaijan has decided to suspend all institutional cooperation with the European Parliament.
According to CCTV, Azerbaijan has decided to suspend all institutional cooperation with the European Parliament. Within the scope of the decision, activities in the EU-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Cooperation Committee have been halted, and the process of withdrawal from the EuroNest Parliamentary Assembly has been initiated.
Speaker of Parliament Sahiba Gafarova stated that necessary steps would be taken against the “anti-Azerbaijan activities” of the European Parliament, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the EU Ambassador to protest the decisions taken.
