Baqaei: Press card does not protect against genocidal war criminals
Tehran, August 11 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei condemned the Israeli airstrike on the tent of the Al Jazeera team in Gaza.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Baqaei described the airstrike that targeted the entire Al Jazeera team in Gaza as “genocidal war crimes.”
Emphasizing that a press card is not a shield against genocidal war criminals, Baqaei said: “Five journalists – the entire Al Jazeera team – were cold-bloodedly killed in the Israeli regime’s deliberate attack on their tent in Gaza City,” noting that civilians in the area were being starved and targeted with “food traps.”
Highlighting that strong condemnation is the minimum human duty, the spokesman added: “However, the world must immediately stop this genocide and force the criminals to be held accountable. Indifference and inaction are complicity in Israel’s crimes.”
