Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baqaei condemned the airstrikes carried out by the Zionist regime on the Bekaa region of Lebanon, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of civilians and damage to Lebanon’s infrastructure.

Baqaei called on the United Nations Security Council to take urgent action to maintain international peace and security, referring to the ongoing violations of Lebanon's national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Baqaei described the ongoing silence and inaction of the UN Security Council in response to the crimes of the Zionist regime as a disaster.

Baqaei pointed out that the US and France, as guarantors of the ceasefire, are directly responsible for the continuation of this situation.
