Belgian Foreign Ministry: Contacts held in LA to strengthen security cooperation
Los Angeles, October 10 (Hibya) – The Belgian Foreign Ministry announced that Princess Astrid and her delegation visited the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) to enhance security cooperation ahead of the FIFA 2026 World Cup and the LA28 Olympic Games.
The Belgian Foreign Ministry stated that Princess Astrid and the Belgian delegation met with LAPD officials to discuss security preparations ahead of the upcoming FIFA 2026 World Cup and the 2028 Summer Olympics (LA28).
During the visit, the Belgium-based company FN Herstal showcased its FN303 non-lethal launcher, which can be used for crowd management and public safety.
Officials from the Belgian Foreign Ministry emphasized that these engagements have strengthened security cooperation between Belgium and the United States (USA) and reinforced the sharing of expertise during major international events.
