WHO: Since the start of the war, 900 trucks of medical supplies have been delivered to Gaza
Geneva, November 9 (Hibya) – The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that around 900 trucks loaded with medical supplies have been delivered to Gaza since the beginning of the war, but the needs remain far greater.
The WHO stated that it is the largest provider of medicines and medical supplies in Gaza and that since the outbreak of the war, it has sent approximately 900 trucks of health supplies to the region.
The organization noted that these supplies have helped keep the health system operational, adding that after the ceasefire, an average of 20 trucks of medical supplies have been delivered weekly.
The WHO emphasized that the needs are far greater and urged that “aid must continue to flow, all crossings must be opened, and transit procedures must be facilitated.”
