Berendsen: The Netherlands supports Belgium in firefighting efforts
Amsterdam, July 24 (Hibya) – Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen announced that the Netherlands would provide support to Belgium due to the large-scale forest fire affecting the country.
Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen announced that the Netherlands would provide support in fighting the large-scale forest fire in Belgium.
Berendsen stated that, under the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism, two helicopters belonging to the Dutch Ministry of Defence had been deployed to support firefighting operations.
Berendsen said, “It is important to support our neighbouring country.”
