Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen made a statement regarding ongoing negotiation processes in the Middle East, emphasizing the importance of international peace and stability.

Expressing satisfaction with the Israel-Lebanon talks, Berendsen said: "Together with my colleagues, we welcome the historic direct talks between Israel and Lebanon held today in the United States."

Berendsen added: "We call on all parties to continue this diplomatic effort in order to ensure lasting security for Israel, Lebanon, and the wider region."

Highlighting the Netherlands' role in the process, Berendsen said: "We are ready to provide support."
