Bhumjaithai Party wins elections in Thailand
Bangkok, February 9 (Hibya) – As the vast majority of votes were counted in Thailand’s general elections, the Bhumjaithai Party, led by Acting Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, declared victory.
Approximately 50 million voters in Thailand went to the polls to elect 500 new members of the House of Representatives.
According to data released by the Election Commission, covering more than 87 percent of the votes, the Bhumjaithai Party, a partner in the current government, finished the race in the lead.
Thailand’s Acting Prime Minister and leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, Anutin Charnvirakul, announced on Sunday that the Bhumjaithai Party had won the elections for the Thai House of Representatives.
