Budrys backs Moldova’s European Union path
Vilnius, September 4 (Hibya) – Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys hosted Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mihai Popşoi in Vilnius. The meeting addressed Moldova’s European Union accession process, efforts to counter Russia’s hybrid attacks, support for Ukraine and regional security.
Following the meeting, Budrys reiterated his support for Moldova’s efforts on the path toward European Union membership, saying, “Russia’s pressure will not divert Moldova from its European path.”
Budrys said Lithuania would continue to support Moldova’s European choice, resilience and reform process, while also highlighting the importance of cooperation in strengthening security in the region.
