Budrys: Belarus is deliberately interfering in NATO airspace
Vilnius, November 11 (Hibya) – Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys stated that Belarus is illegally violating NATO airspace, describing these actions as “an authoritarian experiment.”
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys claimed that Belarus is crossing NATO airspace through illegal means. In a statement on social media, he said: “Belarus is weaponizing smuggling by violating NATO airspace. What began with meteorological balloons has turned into deliberate interference with civil aviation and has repeatedly caused our airports to close. These are not accidents but deliberate hybrid attacks aimed at testing our resolve.”
In an interview with Newsmax, Budrys added that such attacks must not be ignored, saying: “NATO airspace is not a testing ground for authoritarian experiments. We must strengthen our air defenses, acquire more radar systems, and exert the necessary pressure on Belarus.”
