Putin holds phone call with Uzbek President Mirziyoyev
Moscow, November 11 (Hibya) – Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke over the phone.
The two leaders discussed further strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between Russia and Uzbekistan in various fields.
Special attention was given to the implementation of major joint projects, including in the energy sector.
The important role of interregional cooperation in enhancing trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian ties was noted, as well as the practical impact of the Russia–Uzbekistan Regional Council meeting held in the Moscow Region in October 2025.
Current international issues were also discussed, and both sides agreed to maintain regular contacts at various levels.
