According to a statement from the Presidential Directorate of Communications, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
The statement noted that the two leaders discussed the latest situation in the search and rescue operations launched after the crash of the military cargo aircraft in Georgia.
“The Georgian Prime Minister conveyed his condolences to our President for the soldiers who were martyred in the accident. Our President thanked Kobakhidze for his condolences and support,” the statement said.
