Bulgaria and Ukraine to strengthen cooperation on energy security
Kyiv, July 15 (Hibya) – Bulgarian Deputy Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova highlighted the importance of strengthening energy interconnections and increasing natural gas supply capacity during the Ukraine–Southeast Europe Summit.
Bulgarian Deputy Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova attended the Ukraine–Southeast Europe Summit held in Kyiv.
In her remarks at the summit, Petrova emphasized Bulgaria's role in strengthening energy interconnections in Eastern Europe and increasing natural gas transmission capacity to Ukraine and Moldova.
She stated that these efforts are of critical importance for Ukraine's energy security, as well as for the country's long-term recovery and reconstruction, stressing the need to further develop regional energy cooperation.
Petrova also held a bilateral meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, during which they discussed strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting focused on energy security and increasing natural gas supplies, while reaffirming Bulgaria's commitment to maintaining an active political dialogue with Ukraine and expanding practical cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
