Bulgaria sets June transport contribution at zero euros
Sofia, July 15 (Hibya) – Bulgaria's Ministry of Economy, Investments and Industry has set the monthly contribution under the Compensation of Consumers' Transport Costs Act at zero euros for the June 2026 period.
The ministry said the decision was taken because there were no petroleum products produced from crude oil of Russian origin or exported from Russia and released from tax warehouses under CN code 2710.
Under the law, which entered into force in November 2023, companies producing petroleum products from crude oil of Russian origin are required to pay a monthly contribution to compensate consumers' transport expenses.
