Bulgarian passport ranked as the world's 11th most powerful passport
Sofia, July 28 (Hibya) - According to the 2026 Henley Passport Index published by Henley & Partners, the Bulgarian passport ranked 11th among the world's most powerful passports, providing visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 178 countries and territories.
According to the index, Bulgarian citizens can travel to 178 destinations without obtaining a visa in advance or by receiving a visa on arrival.
With this result, Bulgaria maintained its position among the top-ranked passports globally and continued to be one of the European Union countries whose passports offer a high level of travel freedom.
