Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand discussed environmental sustainability during her meeting with Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira.

In a statement following the meeting, Anand said that Brazil plays an important role as one of the most populous countries in the Americas and one of the world's leading economies.

Noting that cooperation between Canada and Brazil was among the key topics discussed, Anand said: “Today I met with Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira to discuss Canada-Brazil cooperation on these issues.”

Describing the meeting as productive, Anand added: “Thank you, Mauro, for this productive discussion.”
