Canadian Prime Minister Carney made a statement on the Alaska Summit
Ottawa, August 16 (Hibya) – Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney made a statement following the Alaska Summit.
Speaking about the summit, Carney said: "President Trump and the leadership of the United States offer an opportunity to end Russia’s illegal war in Ukraine."
He stressed that having strong and credible security guarantees is vital for achieving a just and lasting peace, and added:
"I welcome the United States’ readiness to provide security guarantees within the framework of the Volunteers’ Coalition’s efforts. We are intensifying our efforts to strengthen our unwavering support for Ukraine and our shared determination for the peace and security of this country."
