Carney: 100,000 workers to be hired to expand Canada’s power grid
Ottawa, October 9 (Hibya) - Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced the launch of the Team Canada Strong initiative, aimed at recruiting, training and employing up to 100,000 certified skilled trades workers over the next five years as part of the goal to double the country’s electricity grid by 2050.

Announcing the Team Canada Strong initiative for workers in fields such as welding, electrical work and crane operation, Carney said the program aims to recruit, train and employ up to 100,000 Red Seal-certified skilled workers over the next five years.
